- Welcome to the Stirling House!
Stirling was Greenport's original name. Later, the town was known as Winter Harbor, Green Hill and finally, Greenport. You'll be staying at the most conveniently located bed & breakfast in Greenport village - serene and quiet at the water's edge at the end of Bay Avenue, yet so centrally located you won't need your car. All is walkable!

- The dock
This is the view from the front of the house. We overlook Greenport Harbor and Shelter Island. Location is everything, and this paradise is only a three minute walk from Greenport's vibrant shopping and dining district. Your Wine Country stay will be enhanced by your stay by in Greenport, where you can enjoy evening shopping, art galleries and our wonderful selections of restaurants.
Our guests always seem to find their way to the dock. Whether it's to catch the brilliant sunrise or to share a picnic with that special someone, folks just feel recharged spending time there.

- The French Room Suite - the bedroom
The French Room Suite abounds with French lithographs and Parisian art prints. Edith Piaf, Josephine Baker and Maurice Chevalier autographs are there for you to peruse. The room features a queen size iron bed as well as a beautiful ensuite private bath with a whirlpool bathtub. The bathroom has a state of the art imported German towel bar warmer/radiator. The French Room boasts quality fine linens and plush spa robes. There's also individual climate control. An i-Pod stereo docking station is provided so bring your music! And of course, wireless internet and a flatscreen TV/DVD are included as well.

Victorian in feel, the sitting room is the perfect place to relax and share stories in private. You can also enjoy the latest films on the flatscreen cable TV/DVD player. Our guests also love the French suite as it is located on the ground floor. We have added a cozy fireplace to the sitting room area. The suite is romantic and private...and perfect for those who don't care for stairs! There's even a view of the dock from the window!

- Shelter Island Room - View 1
Enjoy ever changing sparkling water views of Greenport harbor from this bright and airy room. A queen size bed with an oversized Adirondack styled headboard compliment the whimsical setting. The beautiful private bath has fluffy robes for your comfort. Relax in the "garden" on the wicker rocking chair with a good book, or enjoy the latest movie on the flatscreen TV/DVD player. There's also a stereo i-Pod docking station so bring your music! Simple elegance abounds in the Shelter Island room.

Relax in style. Your "secret garden" is waiting for you in the Shelter Island room. This room has individually controlled cooling (a/c & ceiling fan) and heating an ensuite private bathroom. The shower boasts an oversized sunflower head for a relaxing and invigorating shower.

The Greenport Room boasts luxury. It features an antique carved oak fireplace mantel as a headboard for the king size bed. The room has a lovely private bath. The room boasts fine European linens and plush robes and is decorated with beautiful antique furniture. This room sports a majestic view of Greenport harbor. There's an i-Pod stereo docking station so bring your music!

Whimsical country decorations abound in the Breakfast Room. A delicious full breakfast is served each morning. A beverage station is stocked with coffee, teas, juices, soda and ice cold spring water.

Colorful flowers invite you to the Stirling House. Bay Avenue is a beautiful tree-lined street with many distinctive Victorian homes. We're located in the heart of Greenport's historic district.

- Catamaran Cruises
We can help our guests make arrangements to board the Pelican, a pristine 41' catamaran, and enjoy a leisurely cruise around the harbor and Bug Light Lighthouse. Please ask us to help you make reservations.
